Daydreaming in Descanso Gardens
Editorial at Descanso Gardens, featured in Runway Magazine, April issue
Gardens are where I’ve always felt most at peace, at home.
My mother was an expert gardener. I grew up surrounded by roses, regal lilies, lilac, peonies, and more. I would gather bouquets of these fragrant beauties and arrange them in vases throughout the house, bringing the outside in and celebrating them for as long as possible.

I grew up on a farm, so nature was always present, but there was something special about curating it, about honoring its beauty in a more intimate, intentional way.
Later, I began pressing flower petals in the pages of a phone book, creating art and handmade cards from what remained. It’s something I still do today, now with archival, acid-free paper.
Daydreaming Editorial
The Daydreaming in Descanso Gardens editorial was photographed at Descanso Gardens, a truly magical place in Los Angeles with a history that stretches back over 10,000 years, beginning with the Tongva people.
As the gardens describe it:
“Descanso Gardens is a story of plants and the people who loved them for their life-giving utility and their great natural beauty.”

The Interview
This editorial, set in the rose garden, is part of a larger body of work from that day. I’m honored to share that it is now featured in Runway Magazine, along with a full interview.

Gardens have always been a place of inspiration for me, where nature, memory, and design quietly come together.
I’m grateful to see this story come to life, and to finally share it. This editorial feature is just part of the full shoot, with more to come.
